The focus of the SCSD Office for Curriculum is to support our school sites, students, and community with a variety of services, programs, and resources. A standards-based instructional program using high-quality instructional materials, rigorous teaching, and relevant experiences.

The Office of Curriculum encompasses many entities. Many of them include Curriculum, Instruction, Special Education, Technology, Assessment, Professional Development, McKinney-Vento, CTE, and SEL.

Special Education and Technology have their own websites, but we all work in unison to support our students, staff, and community.

My Name is Elizabeth (Lisa) Vasquez, I was born and raised in Silver City, NM. I am a 1998 Silver High graduate. I have been employed with Silver Schools since 2001. I started as the front desk receptionist, currently I am the Associate Secretary for Cindy Barris. I enjoy working for the community, students, and staff of Silver Schools. I believe challenges make life interesting, but overcoming those challenges is what makes life meaningful.

I have one son Isaiah who attends La Plata Middle School.  In my spare time I enjoy cleaning, crafting, party planning, walking, spending time with family and friends and giving back to the community. I am also a big fan of Mickey Mouse.
