This is the image for the news article titled School Messenger Contact InformationThere are several important steps to ensuring the school district can contact you.  The most important step is to make sure that your child's school has your current and up to date phone numbers and email address.  School Messenger is the system the district uses for absences, school closures, general messages, and emergencies.  School Messenger pulls this information from our District student information system PowerSchool.  School Messenger is capable of sending phone calls, emails, or even text messages depending on what information the district has.  Additionally you can download the School Messenger app and control how you receive those notifications from PowerSchool.

Another important step is to register for parental access to PowerSchool, so that you can see your child's grades, attendance, and important information.  To register for PowerSchool you will need to ask each of your children's schools for the "Intro to PowerSchool for Parents" letter.  This letter will have valuable information needed to link your parent account with your child's information.
